David Ferro has a lifetime of experiences with weathervanes to share in an engaging lecture style. From his younger years learning from famous weathervane makers throughout New England, combined with experiences throughout a long, successful career, culminating in his self taught streamlined methods and unique style, David has a wealth of anecdotes that have fascinated, educated, and entertained his many students during the last 3 decades. David’s passion for weathervanes can be shared through a choice of 2 lectures. One that celebrates the art and history of weathervanes and in the other lecture he speaks with both first hand knowledge and authority on the modern design, manufacture and market of the niche folk art.
