Running Corgi Weathervane; Differding Residence – completed

Running Corgi Weathervane; Differding Residence – completed

Custom Work

The running Corgi design created by Dave Ferro and Joan Differding, based on her dog ‘Panda’.

Putting the design onto the copper sheet.

The two main halves of the body have been cut out and have started the texturing process.

Once the texture is right, the body is formed to the correct shape.

Part of getting the shape of the body right, is making sure the legs will mortise to the body correctly.

The two halves of the main body have been soldered together and the tinning process has started.

Detailing the legs.

The legs have been assembled and are now being attached.

The body and legs are assembled and the details are tinned.

The completed Running Corgi Weathervane.

“”Panda” went up on the roof today! Poignant for us, since our beloved real Panda passed away last month. ? He’s buried next to the barn, so the weathervane flies above him. It looks so good! Thank you!”

Small note on the design: Both of Panda’s ears are brown, so should be copper.

Will do, I’ve made a note on the shop drawing.

Wow, I am so excited to see the “Panda” weathervane take shape in real life! Looks awesome so far!
