Mayflower replica for a Newport RI mansion whose weathervane was stolen around 1963. The images are of the original weathervane.

Copper is hand hammered into our half hull mold of the Mayflower hull.

Once the 2 halves of the hull are formed they are soldered together to form the initial hull shape.

The 1/8″ thick wall bearing bronze spindle tune with welded 2″ hardened wear-resistant alloy ball bearing.

Details added of side rails, castles and bow.

Adding cosmetic details before the rigging begins.

Now for the rigging!

The directionals are being completely custom made from heavy gauge brass material.

We are creating a heavy duty brass locking device with custom dolphin shaped tie-downs.

The engineering of the integrated directionals hub.

Creating the decorative Victorian dolphins for the base.

The finished Mayflower.

The 2″ solid marine grade stainless steel post, 1/4″ thick stainless steel base, and custom copper base cover.

Installing the weathervane.
