Custom Work

Design to be made.

Each piece is cut by hand then the detail is added by ‘chasing’ it into the copper.

The body of the fish is sculpted into shape.

Soldering the 2 halves together to form the main body.

Making the arrow and added the main body to it..

The jacket , fin, and back leg have been added. Sculpting the arms next.

Adding the flippers.

Proposed color scheme. The brown is copper. The yellow will be gold leaf, and the gray will be bonded tin..

The fishing hat has been added and the bonded lead/tin accents areas are done.

The fishing pole and “kids” detail is added..

Hand rubbing the bronze finish into the copper..

Applying the special primer for the gold leaf to the accent areas.

Applying the sizing (glue) for the gold leaf.

The finished weathervane..

Not sure, but when we had talked you had indicated you sometimes put in other materials for emphasis, or for a pop.

The whole piece is to be made of copper. What do you have in mind?
