Brockway Truck Weathervane – Horn Collection

The design of the weathervane will be created from photos and measurements from the clients actual 1924 Brockway truck.
Jon has decided to start with the cab.
Assembling the cab.
The dash and seat have been added to the cab.
The wheels are chased in pitch In order to capture sharp detail and depth.
The wheels are assembled and the excess solder carefully sanded away.
Jon has made the bed for the truck and is now adding detail to it.
The Chassis, bed, and cab have come together..
The components of the undercarriage are time consuming but essential for viewing the weathervane from below.
Installing the glass windows.
Adding the arrow.
The piece has been cleaned and now the hand rubbed bronze finish is being created.

Jon is one of the world’s up and coming weathervane sculptors. His pieces are solid, beautiful examples of a traditional trade. His work often goes home with him as chasing has become a hobby for him. Jon usually handles the larger and more complex pieces.
