Dragonfly Weathervane; Bracket Residence

Custom Work

The detail for the sides of the body are transferred to 100% copper sheet. The rough shape is cut out with shears then the exact piece is cut out by hand.

All the detail lines and contours are tapped into the copper from the outside-in for each piece.

A variety of forms and pads is used to beat against to create the desired shape.

Soldering the main sides of the body together.

Loose fitting an eye to see how it looks.

Head & eyes shape before detailing.

Dragonfly legs!

    Wow ! The eyes have it ! It will not only keep the in-laws at bay, but will probably frighten other dragonflies.
