Our famous American Eagle in 45″ wingspan.
First the design is transferred, then the parts are cut from the sheet copper
The feathering is being textured into the copper by hand.
Sculpting the eagles back and tail.
With the body and wing parts done, Jon is working on the head pieces.

The eagle instantly gains mass once the wings are added.

Jon is one of the world’s up and coming weathervane sculptors. His pieces are solid, beautiful examples of a traditional trade. His work often goes home with him as chasing has become a hobby for him. Jon usually handles the larger and more complex pieces.
