One of my oldest weathervane designs is the Stork & Bundle.

This weathervane will be done in several sections for ease of sculpting as well as added strength. The stork’s body is first to be cut, textured, shaped then the halves soldered together.

The tail and legs are next to be made.

As the parts are made they are fitted and attached to the main body.

Early stage of the bundle that is still flat copper sheet.

The beak and bundle for the front of the weathervane being assembled.

Cutting out and detailing the larger wing halves.

Assembling and attaching the wings.

Applying the chemical wash to create the first part of the finish.
