We have another request for our Toad Weathervane! This time we will be changing the head from the twisted facing right head to a nicer head facing forward and down at the world below.
Copper sheet is being prepared by heating it to a red glow to anneal it. Annealing copper makes it soft and malleable for sculpting.
Each part is precisely planned and hand cut for optimal fit.
Details are marked then hand embossed from the outside of the copper sheet.
Next, appropriate texture is added then the piece is formed to the desired shape.
Time for some frog’s legs!
