The execution of the design has been worked out and the first pieces to be made (right and left Tarpon body) are drawn onto the copper.

The characteristic scales are hand chased into the copper one by one.

The body has been sculpted, soldered together and I’m planning the next parts.

While my apprentice creates the fins to my specifications, I start on the amazing Tarpon’s head .

The detail is carefully planned and started from the outside then body is infused from the inside of each piece. Notice the sockets preset for the glass eyes.

Construction is complete and the tarpon is ready to be cleaned and finished.

The bronze finish has been applied and the glass eyes added.
