The Old Style cast aluminum weathervanes have been around for about 70 years. The attractively shaped posts are cast in aluminum with black baked enamel finishes that can easily be repainted if another color is desired. These posts do not rust but the metal fatigues with old age and should be replaced. If you have one of these old vanes and need a new post, these are usually interchangeable with a few manufacturers styles.
- 24″ weathervane Post = 5/8″ x 15″, spindle portion is 5/16″ x 1.5″
- 30″ weathervane Post = 3/4″ x 20″, spindle portion is 5/16″ x 2″
- 46″ weathervane Post = 1″ x 28″, spindle portion is 5/16″ x 3″
