The client here has selected an antique Pointing Hand Arrow design to be replicated.
Planning the parts from an enlarged image of the antique arrow.
Each piece is hand cut from heavy gauge sheet copper, then the edges are filed and sanded smooth.
The sheet parts are ready.
Copper tubing and scroll parts are soldered together.

All the weathervane’s parts are made, cleaned, primed and will be ready for gold leaf at the beginning of the week.
I use 23 karat gold leaf, apply, burnish then seal with sign painters quality clear enamel.
