Blueprints for the fully three dimensional Boeing 727 Aircraft Weathervane for Capt. Carson.
The construction of the copper airplane sculpture starts with planning the break down of the parts then the pieces are cut out by hand and the details hand tapped into the sheet copper.
The two sides of the fuselage are shaped once the details have been embossed into them.
Tinning the windows.
The front of the aircraft will be done in four pieces to get the full three dimensional shape of the nose. The windows will be tinned.
With the assembly of the aircrafts’ body, the plane starts to take shape.
The tail of the jet is made of 6 hand crafted pieces.
Creating the venturi tubes and engine casing.
The wings have been formed, soldered together, and attached to the fuselage.
Adding the engines to the plane.
