The design is planned in sections, cut out, then the details are chased into the copper.
Jon is using anatomy books as reference.

Top half is soldered together. Working on the legs.
The body is soldered together and the loin cloth has been added.

Each of the smaller pieces is hand made also.

Jon is one of the world’s up and coming weathervane sculptors. His pieces are solid, beautiful examples of a traditional trade. His work often goes home with him as chasing has become a hobby for him. Jon usually handles the larger and more complex pieces.
